Built 1956 as GERANIUM in double-diagonal mahogany, copper-fastened on rigid oak frames by James Taylor [Chertsey] Limited at Shoreham as an offshore powerboat racer.

Under the later ownership of Edward Macauley, chief motor-cycling writer for the Daily Mirror, LADY OF MANORA was transported by road to Weaver Shipyard and for a decade was stored in their workshops under conversion.
