The remarkably high standard of her initial fit-out has been matched by careful maintenance with all standing rigging replaced after full-out-of-water insurance survey in November 2019, at Douglas Boatyard, Hesketh Bank, Lancashire, GB, during the long pandemic. Engine: Original Lister-Petter 14hp AC2WM Mini-Twin fresh water-cooled single cylinder marine diesel with Bowman heat exchanger and Hurth gearbox driving a Monel K400 shaft and a 14-inch diameter RH bronze propeller with 9-inch pitch to deliver 6 knots. Engine handbook and workshop manual. Two 86Ah 12-volt batteries and 12-gallon stainless steel fuel tank. Ammeter and coolant temperature gauge.

Hull: White grp, epoxy-treated below waterline when new, unpainted with Treadmaster extensively fitted on foredeck and coachroof. Copper-based antifouling applied ashore in 2019

Deck gear: Tiller steering, Bruce 15kg main anchor with chain, CQR kedge with chain and warp, mooring warps and fenders, blue sprayhood and dodgers, transom boarding ladder, two single speed self-tailing sheet winches, single speed halyard winches, Excel Ventura 2.3m inflatable dinghy with Tohatsu 3.5 hp 4-stroke outboard motor on pushpit bracket. Navigation equipment: Sowester Bosun compass, Sefarer depth sounder with cockpit repeater, Garmin VHF radio with aerials at masthead and in cockpit, Garmin GPS Map 551 chart plotter with AIS receiver mounted on ingenious washboard fitting in companion.

Safety gear: Lifejackets, horseshoe lifebuoys, safety harnesses, distress flares, fire extinguishers, smoke detector, no gas on board, radar reflector, two bilge pumps, fire blanket in saloon, rope-cutter on propeller.

Accommodation: Cabin sole laid in 7mm mahogany planks with white Douglas Fir spacer strips on 12mm exterior-grade ply, saloon upholstered with cream leatherette cushions, curtains and wooden saloon table. Two V-berths in well-insulated forecabin, two berths in saloon plus one pilot quarter berth. Cabin heating by a Taylor’s yacht heater fed from a pressure tank with paraffin [kerosene] running almost silently with no electricity or gas and sometimes described as ‘best boat heater ever made’. Galley to port of companion includes foot-operated water supply to sink from two fixed fresh water tanks and a Taylor’s 029 Defiance 2-burner hob and warming oven gas-free with its stainless steel fuel tank and polished stainless steel body. Sea lavatory in separate head forward of main bulkhead behind double doors.
