The port of Mulgrave is an ice-free, deep water harbour, situated in the
Strait of Canso which separates mainland Nova Scotia from Cape Breton Island.
The Public Harbour of Mulgrave shares the Strait of Canso ports with the
Public Harbour of Port Hawkesbury, with the limits evenly dividing the
Strait throughout its length southward from the Canso Causeway to the Atlantic
